Over the two and a half decades Andrews career has taken him all over the globe educating in Asia, South America, the Middle East, theUK and Europe, working on International high-fashion shoots but just as importantly establishing a reputation at home for excellence and putting Northern Irish hairdressing on an International stage.

In 2001 the first salon opened with the mission to do something new, to keep evolving and to never ever stand still. “Skill, communication and great customer-service have always been the bedrock at Andrew Mulvenna Hair”. L’Oreal Professional awarded him an exclusive place in the prestigious ‘Portfolio of Artistic Hairdressers’ - an exclusive club of 50 top salons across the UK dedicated to showcasing an artistic vision and high quality of service.

By 2007 Andrew had won ‘Hairdresser of the year’ twice, was educating across the UK for L’Oreal professional, working on Magazine shoots [Vogue, Red, Tatler], making Professional International Educational DVDs and Judging Industry competitions. ↓

In 2008 it was time to expand, move location and to again create something fresh and exciting for Belfast. The location was in the newly regenerated Laganside area of Belfast with nearby landmarks such as Victoria Square, St Georges Market, The Waterfront and Central Train Station.

The 4,500sq ft ‘Destination Space’ at Cromac Street would be inspired by urban-chic stores such as ‘Collette’ or ‘Merci’ in Paris. “Our dream is to offer a world class range of quality services and products set in an inspiring environment that is also personal and friendly.” Andrew and his team have went on become synonymous with ‘sexy, wearable fashion-forward hair’. Educating internationally [India, Argentina, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Athens], working on shows, videos and shoots [London Fashion Week, Harpers Bazaar, H3 International, Your Hair Magazine] and also International, UK and Irish industry Judging.
